ABOUT NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS

‘Neuropsych’ evaluations are meant to determine a student’s areas of strength and challenges.

We partner with several neuropsychologists who can perform neuropsychological evaluations. Most commonly, these evaluations are used to diagnose learning disabilities (such as ADHD or dyslexia), giftedness, mood disorders (such as anxiety) or executive functioning challenges. Results are used to develop a plan to improve social and emotional functioning as well as developing school plans. The results are uniquely tailored to each child’s individual needs and the areas of concern identified by parents and teachers; this can also be thought of as a ‘blueprint’ to focus objectives and strategies based on a student’s learning profile.
